Fast Growth Stress

If you are fortunate enough to have the problem of owning a company that has grown faster than you expected, you might find yourself concerned about the wide array of processes and content areas that are new to you. Are you making the “right” strategic partnerships? Did you leave something on the table during that last negotiation? Does your team thrive under your leadership?  Do you have the skills needed to select and lead fast growing departments?

These are some of the questions that naturally arise for leaders in high-growth environments. As such, it is helpful to normalize thoughts - even “imposter syndrome” thoughts. Thoughts only carry weight if we let them. Part of Psychological Core Strength® is differentiating between actionable items and noise. When clients share intrusive thoughts that take away from their missions it creates a tremendous growth opportunity in our work together. Some thoughts are valuable and intentional, but MANY are not. Psystrong® consultation helps train leaders to differentiate between the two. Like the old bumper sticker says “Don’t believe everything you think”.
